In the early 20th century there was a newspaper known as “The Call”. Their dramatic critic was a man named Joseph Twaldwell Shipley, my Great-Grandfather. Feared through New York City for his voracious critiques and vibrant radio commentary, he was a major name in the industry up until the late 80’s. I intend on continuing his legacy, hopefully eventually becoming known for the latter of my inherited skills. I am a classically trained actor which remains my primary career, as well as an enthusiastic writer. I hope to combine these two skills and make this something to be proud of. His retired column, which I intellectually inherited, was called First Nights. I hereby announce it’s resumption and renaming to Opening Nights.
